UMPACI FILMMAKER/DIRECTOR - WHO AM I?

Saša Stanisić is a film director, writer and professor from Skopje. He graduated in General and Comparative Literature from the Faculty of Philology in Skopje, as well as Film and TV Directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje. He has directed several short films: Down from Paradise, Mangava Disco Punk (part of the omnibus Skopje Remix), Kaval (a short animated film), PS Busan (filmed with an all-Korean crew as part of the director's residency in Busan, South Korea). He also works as a director of television formats and commercials. He is the author of the short story collection "Sour Pumpkins". He is a professor of Film and TV Directing at the Department of Film and TV Directing at the International University Europa Prima in Skopje. He is currently preparing his doctoral thesis on interactive narration. He is the founder and manager of the production and distribution company "Cataway" based in Skopje, which deals with pre-production and production of films as well as film distribution
